Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

Welcome to AskBop, an SMS-based AI assistant service operated by SchwadLabs ("we," "us," or "our"). By subscribing to or using AskBop, you agree to these terms.

1. SMS Messaging Consent

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your usage. You will receive:

• Responses to messages you send us
• Reminders you have scheduled
• Account notifications (subscription changes, payment issues)

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details about your text messaging plan.

How to Opt Out

You can stop receiving messages at any time by:

• Texting STOP to cancel your subscription
• Texting UNSUBSCRIBE to cancel your subscription
• Managing your subscription at your customer portal

After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message. You will not receive any further messages unless you resubscribe.

2. Service Description

AskBop is an AI-powered SMS assistant that provides:

• Weather forecasts
• News summaries
• Reminders and scheduling
• Calculations and unit conversions
• Translations
• General knowledge questions
• And other text-based utilities

The service is provided "as is." While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated responses may contain errors. Do not rely on AskBop for medical, legal, financial, or emergency advice.

3. Subscription and Billing

AskBop is a paid subscription service billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Plans

• Basic ($10/month): 100 messages per month
• Premium ($25/month): 300 messages per month, conversation memory
• Max ($50/month): 700 messages per month, extended conversation memory

Cancellation

You may cancel at any time through your customer portal or by texting UNSUBSCRIBE. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use AskBop to:

• Send illegal, harmful, threatening, or harassing content
• Attempt to generate content that violates our content policies
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Resell or redistribute the service
• Use automated systems to send messages

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Privacy Policy

Information We Collect

• Phone number: Required to send and receive SMS messages
• Messages: The content of messages you send to and receive from AskBop
• Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe; we do not store card details
• Usage data: Message counts, feature usage, and service interactions
• Name/nickname: If you choose to provide one
• Timezone: To deliver reminders at the correct time

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the AskBop service
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To send you service-related communications
• To respond to your messages and provide support
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate AskBop:

• Twilio: SMS delivery (USA: Privacy Policy)
• Stripe: Payment processing (Privacy Policy)
• Anthropic: AI responses (Privacy Policy)

Data Retention

We retain your message history to provide conversation context features. You may request deletion of your data by contacting schwad@schwadlabs.io.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or SMS is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights

For All Users

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of SMS messages at any time

For EU/UK Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under GDPR including data portability, the right to object to processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Our legal basis for processing is contract fulfillment (providing the service you subscribed to).

For California Users (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell your personal information.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via SMS or email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
